Nashville Zoo provides fun and educational experiences for people of all ages! Click below to view the different educational opportunities offered at the Zoo.

School Groups

Bring your school or home school group on a field trip to experience the wonders of animal species from around the world. There's always something new to discover and learn about, whether it flies, swims, slithers or walks! Complement your visit with a Wild Encounters classroom program that includes live animal demonstrations, animal biofacts and activities that involve the entire group.

Youth Programs

Check out the wide variety of programs offered for children ages 18 months to 16 years old.

Scout and Overnight Programs

Nashville Zoo offers two opportunities for scouts to earn a badge or achievement while visiting the Zoo. Book a NightOwl program and spend the night, or schedule a Saturday Scout program for a day trip. Each program will fulfill requirements for specific badges.

Photography Classes

Home School Days

These engaging programs encourage home school students, ages 5-13, to learn about the importance of conservation by exploring the world of animals. Home School Days programs feature live animal presentations and animal artifacts.

Backstage Pass

Join the Education Department and keeper staff on a great adventure! The Backstage Pass gives you access behind-the-scenes of the anteater, giraffe or elephant barn.

Wildlife on Wheels

Wildlife on Wheels offers a variety of programs aligned with State Standards and packed with fun for all ages. These entertaining and educational programs feature live animals and activities brought right to your door. Programs are available to travel to your site year round.
