Nashville Zoo’s Summer Camp is a week long day camp, Monday through Friday, for children ages 5-10 to discover the Zoo through crafts, educational games, stories, Zoo activities and special animal visits. Camper must be of age on the first day of the camp week they are registered for.

Camp Week Topics Campers may only register for 2 weeks of summer camp, one week in June and one week in July. Each month has its own unique camp curriculum and each week in the month are identical. This also gives more children the opportunity to attend summer camp.

June: Globe Trotters (International Animals) Join us at the Zoo in June as we travel around the world to discover exotic animals and their habitats.

Week 1: June 3 - 7
Week 2: June 10 - 14
Week 3: June 17 - 21
Week 4: June 24 - 28

July: Animal Explorers (Animal Investigations) In this month of camp, we will explore various methods for studying animals and even learn about some wildlife-related careers.

Week 5: July 8 - 12
Week 6: July 15 - 19
Week 7: July 22 - 26

Camp Hours: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Before-care: 7:30 - 9 a.m.
After-care: 3 - 5:30 p.m.

Ages:
Children ages 5 – 10.
Camper must be of age on the first day of the camp week they are registered for.

Zoo Summer Camp Registration Process
Campers will no longer have to be registered for a specific age group. This should aid in the ability to register siblings for the same week of camp.

Incomplete registrations will not be processed and will not reserve your child’s space in summer camp. Payment is required at time of registration.

Nashville Zoo is offering a limited number of camp scholarships funded by the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Please complete and submit an application by March 8, 2013 to be considered for a scholarship.

If you are not a current Zoo member, renewals and new memberships must be submitted prior to registering for summer camp. The simplest way to become a Nashville Zoo member or renew your membership is online.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail when your completed registration form is processed.

Cancellation Policy: All camp cancellations must be submitted using the online Camp Cancellation Form. Cancellation requests submitted 3 weeks prior to registered camp week will receive a 75% refund of original amount paid. Refunds will be paid in the form of a check. Cancellation requests received within 3 weeks of registered camp week will not receive a refund.

Cost of Program

Members:
Early Bird: $185
After March 31 (if space permits): $210

Non-Members:
Early Bird: $210

Before-care: $50 per week, per child
After-care: $50 per week, per child

Cost includes a camp T-shirt.

There are a limited number of need-based scholarships made possible by a grant from The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
