Who qualifies as a School Group?

To qualify for the discounted school group rate, you must:

School group rates apply only to accredited schools, preschools, year-round day cares, head start programs and organized home schools. To qualify for the school group rate, each group must have 20 or more people and complete a registration form at least two weeks in advance. Please note - April and May are the most popular months to visit the Zoo, so we suggest booking your field trips in advance.

Enhance your visit to the Zoo by experiencing one of our three in-park attractions (Lorikeet Landing, Wild Animal Carousel and Wilderness Express Train Ride).
Nashville Zoo is proud to offer attraction tokens to school groups at a special discount rate of $.75 per token (normally $1 per token). Tokens must be purchased at the ticket booth upon arrival at the Zoo.

Lorikeet Landing Nectar Cup: 2 tokens

Wild Animal Carousel: 2 tokens
(Riders must be at least 42" tall)

Wilderness Express Train Ride: 2 tokens
(Recommended for preschool-aged children)

DinoTrek returns to Nashville Zoo this March with 15 animatronic beasts in a hidden forest of the Zoo. Nashville Zoo is proud to offer DinoTrek tickets to school groups at the discounted rate of $2/person.

Payment

  • Payment is collected at the ticket booth on the day of arrival
  • Schools must make one payment for the entire group in the form of cash, credit card or school/business-affiliated check
