Special Harvest Days Celebration
for School Groups and Home School Groups
Friday, September 24
9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

This year Harvest Days closes our summer long celebration of the Croft Home’s Bicentennial. Built in 1810, the home is the second oldest historic residence in Davidson County open for public tours. We welcome you to commemorate this occasion with us during the weekend of Harvest Days as we reflect on the history of the Croft family and home – long before giraffes and elephants roamed the backyard!

The Croft House lawn will be a flutter with period artisans and activities as you meander through the scenic lawn, lush gardens and nostalgic farm. Included will be weavers, woodcarvers, quilters and many more displaying their artistry each day. There will be a civil war display, animal presentations, storytelling and several musical groups as well as fun activities such as the pen and ink station, 2010 “Crazy Quilt” and wool carding stations.

Don’t miss the chance to take a tour of the Croft House conducted by costumed interpreters or to take in a gardening demonstration and get some insider tips from the Davidson County Master Gardeners.
