Animal ambassadors welcome you for a stroll into Entry Village and Gibbon Islands for festive cocktails and a sampling of exotic flavors from Nashville area restaurants.
Then head into the Zoo’s new Jungle Terrace Pavilion for a seated dinner, presented by Nashville Zoo’s own catering service Taste of the Wild and featuring four untamed courses that promise to take you on a culinary safari. Taste of the Wild
Catering offers a variety of services for all types of events from high-end formal affairs to business meetings to family picnics.
Our showcase feature at Animal Affair 2009 is Nashville Zoo’s new Jungle Terrace Pavilion. This 5,000 sq. foot pavilion can seat up to 290 guests and provides a new space at the Zoo for individuals and companies to host their picnic, meeting, private party or wedding. Located adjacent to the Jungle Gym, the Patton Family Wild Animal Carousel and just a short walk from the African Elephant and Giraffe Savannahs, the Jungle
Terrace Pavilion is a unique facility option in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Dinner includes your passport to enjoy a hilarious behind-the-scenes look at the love lives of our animal friends, courtesy of Miami Metrozoo’s international sensation Ron Magill. Ron Magill has been in the zoological field for over 30 years and does regular segments on CNN, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Today Show, Good Morning America and Sabado Gigante. He is also a renowned wildlife photographer and travels the world with his unique presentation “Monkeys are from Mars, Cougars are from Venus.” This program contains adult content and frank yet lighthearted discussion, images and artifacts about animal sexual behavior.

The evening concludes with a few spins on the Patton Family Wild Animal Carousel while you satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts and coffee from some more of Nashville’s local flavors. Don’t miss this unique night out – all benefiting your Zoo!
