Jungle Gym

The Jungle Gym will be closed August 11 - 30 for annual maintenance.

Nashville Zoo's Jungle Gym is the wildest place for a high-flying, high-swinging adventure!

Come swing like a gibbon, run like the zebras and prowl around tiger-style in the 66,000-square foot playground. Jungle Gym features include:

  • A 35-foot tall "Tree of Life" tree house structure
  • Super slides, cargo netting and swings
  • Concrete sculpture garden, with a giant snake tunnel, bat cave, hippo and crocodile figures
  • Dancing water fountain
  • Themed information booth with attendant, PA system and first aid station.

The Jungle Gym is the largest community-built playground in the United States. A restoration in 2008 provided a facelift to the playgrounds's existing attributes. Special thanks to the generosity of Kelly and Dan Crockett for funding the restoration and getting our Jungle Gym back "in the swing" of things so quickly!

Located next to the Wild Animal Carousel, you can easily find the Jungle Gym on the way to Lorikeet Landing and the African Savannah.
