Tracie and her husband Scott along
with their sons Aidan and Maxx have enjoyed being members of the Zoo
family for the past six years. They are very excited to share the experience with
the newest members of their family, daughter Evelyne and son Jean Paul soon to arrive from Haiti.
The Hamilton family was first
introduced to Rick Schwartz, Nashville Zoo president, by a mutual friend and
their first visit to the park was to celebrate Aidan’s birthday. They realized from that first encounter that
they wanted to get involved.
Currently Tracie is serving on the board here at
Nashville Zoo. Her favorite animal is the clouded leopard, and the boys love Unseen
New World. Another favorite of course is the soon to be opened, tortoise
experience exhibit, which the Hamilton family is sponsoring. Favorite visits to
the zoo are to bring friends for behind the scenes tours.
“We love sharing
Nashville Zoo with our friends, and seeing their reaction for the first time,” she
Tracie’s biggest wish for the future of
the Zoo is “for our children and for our children’s children, all generations, to have the wonderful resources of the
Nashville Zoo available to learn about the world, its animals and conservation.”
She sincerely hopes the citizens of Nashville
and the surrounding area will join in support of future expansion and
“This addition will launch our Zoo to the next level
and help it be all it can be! I believe that Nashville Zoo has the potential to
become a world-class zoo,” she said. “We can be the centerpiece of the
community to share with all children.”
Tracie believes strongly in community outreach
programs that will enable all children; especially the underprivileged, disabled, and less fortunate to continue to
visit Nashville Zoo.
Many thanks to Tracie Hamilton and
her family for their wonderful support of Nashville Zoo!
