Frequently Asked Questions
Will I have to wait in line when I arrive?
We are asking all guests, including members, to reserve a timed ticket for entry. This will help us control crowds and limit long lines. We will also have ground markers in place to encourage proper spacing.
Can I bring in my own food and beverages?
Yes, outside food and beverages are permitted. Please no alcohol, glass containers, or disposable straws. Remember that the water fountains will be shut off, so plan accordingly.
What if I need to change the date/time of my visit?
Call our Help Desk (1-866-977-3539) or email orders@nashvillezoo.org with your Order # and preferred new date & time.
How can I redeem discounts?
Anyone with a coupon, good-any-day ticket, prepaid or complimentary ticket, reciprocal membership, or any other discount will need to stop by the ticket building to exchange it for an entry ticket. Our Guest Services team will get you in as quickly as possible.
Why am I required to wear a mask?
In accordance with Metro Public Health Department's mask mandate, all guests ages 13+ are required to wear a face mask at all times, except when outside and also maintaining a physical distance of at least 6 feet from others. There are many high-traffic areas in the Zoo and proper social distancing is very difficult to maintain at all times. We ask that you keep your mask on throughout your visit as a courtesy to our guests and staff.
I just bought my membership online. How do I find my membership number?
See how to find your membership number here. You may also call our 24-hour helpline at 1-866-977-3539 for assistance. If you have lost your membership card or have other questions about your membership, email membership@nashvillezoo.org.
Can I leave the Zoo and come back the same day?
Due to our timed ticket entry, we are asking guests to complete their visit before leaving the Zoo.
Nashville Zoo is asking all guests to wear a mask while visiting to help us protect everyone including guests, staff and our animals. CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
My child won't wear a mask. Does that mean we can't visit?
We understand it can be uncomfortable for children to wear a mask. We ask you to do your best and be mindful of the safety of other guests, staff and our animals.
How long will the mask requirement be in place?
Through this process, we have been engaged with city leaders and the Mayor’s Task Force and understand that the requirement for face masks will be lifted beginning with Phase 4 of Nashville's Roadmap to Reopening. At that time, the Zoo would lift the mask requirement and continue to strongly recommend that you wear a mask.
