School Group Trips

Bring your class to Nashville Zoo for a day full of fun and educational adventures!


Who qualifies as a School Group?

School group rates apply only to accredited schools, preschools, year-round day cares, head start programs and organized home schools. To qualify for the school group rate, each group must have 20 or more people and complete a registration form at least three weeks in advance.


School Group Trip Costs

Student Prices

Title 1 Schools (Davidson County only): $3
All Other Schools: $5
*Admission rates apply for students ages 2-18.

Adult Prices

1 teacher/chaperone admitted FREE per every 10 students
Additional Adults: $9 each



School buses park free
Chaperones driving their own vehicle will have to pay the $5 parking fee

Additional Add-ons

Enhance your visit to the Zoo by experiencing one of our three in-park attractions. Nashville Zoo is proud to offer attraction tokens to school groups at a special discount rate of $.75 per token (normally $1 per token). Tokens must be purchased at the ticket booth upon arrival at the Zoo.
  • Lorikeet Landing Feeding Experience: 2 tokens
  • Wild Animal Carousel: 2 tokens (Riders must be at least 42" tall)
  • Wilderness Express Train Ride: 2 tokens (Recommended for preschool-aged children)


Payment is collected at the ticket booth on the day of arrival. Schools must make one payment for the entire group in the form of cash, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, or Discover), or school/business-affiliated check. Please note that anyone paying separately will be charged the full price of admission.
