The Great Backyard Bird Count is a citizen science project where people from around the world count birds for 15 minutes a day from February 14-17. The data you collect is used to assist researchers in tracking bird migrations and getting accurate population counts of different species. In 2018 there were 200,000 participants that helped count over 6,000 bird species. Learn more about how to join the fun.
